Take a look below the surface at some of the most spectacular sights at sea. Here’s what you’ve been missing out on.
CANNIBAL ROCK, KOMODO NATIONAL PARK, INDONESIA: Famed for its fearsome, rotten flesh-eating dragons, Komodo National Park is an easy jump from Bali (there are many operators offering tours from the Indonesian holiday isle) but for divers there’s another attraction - one beneath the surface. Named after a dragon seen eating one of its own, Cannibal Rock is a mound of well-protected, kaleidoscopic coloured coral. Free of strong currents, the world-class dive site has critters ranging from the big - including eagle rays, sharks and tuna - to the small, namely cute pygmy seahorses hidden among huge purple gorgonian fans.
