THE ex-boyfriend of Bree Keller, who was killed in a horrific crash in Sydney’s CBD on Saturday morning, has said the 22-year-old was the “best thing that ever happened to me” in a moving tribute.
Ms Keller, from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, died when the $200,000 supercar she was travelling in flipped and burst into flames after the driver lost control at Darling Harbour.
Brothers Steve and Jeff Nasr were also killed in the crash. Sole survivor Joseph Bagala, 39, was pulled out of the car by four police officers before it caught alight.
Ms Keller’s former boyfriend Issac Treml posted a tribute to her on Instagram.
“The girl who loved me for my flaws, my kind heart, my daughter and most of all being me,” Mr Treml, a father, said underneath a photo of the pair.
“My world has come crashing down knowing I will never get to see you again.
According to social media Ms Keller and Mr Treml began dating at the beginning of 2016.
Ms Keller’s mother said that her daughter’s decision to get in the car was a “sliding door moment”
“The circumstances of her death are horrific and we have to live with that and this week we’ve been having to live with the fact we can’t bring her home,” her mother Tania Keller said.
“It was a sliding doors moment. Get in the car or not get in the car. A wrong decision.”
“She was a lovely, bubbly person ... she was a free spirit and we miss her dearly,” her stepfather Peter Francis said.
