Fringe All Whites striker Jeremy Brockie has been nominated for African Player of the Year after his outstanding season for South Africa's SuperSport United.
The 30-year-old has been the leading light for his the Johannesburg club, notching 20 goals last season to earn a place on the list of nominees who play their football in Africa.
The former Wellington Phoenix stalwart has made 59 appearances for the Premier Soccer League side after signing on back in 2015.
That form has him in line for a surprise recall to Anthony Hudson's All Whites squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Peru, where he could potentially make his 50th international appearance.
The Christchurch product has played 49 times for New Zealand after making his debut back in 2006, but hasn't taken the field for the side since June 2016.
