In another star-studded week of pictures, you can see the latest from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The Monuments Men, Her, Godzilla, Berandal, and They Came Together. You can see the galleries (including large ones for Anchorman 2 and Her) below with all the new photos.
Like always, you can check out the latest trailers and posters for this week, too.
A new gallery for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is below and completes the Film Equals trifecta after the newest trailer and poster. The five photos show off Andrew Garfield and the newly-added Jamie Foxx. Marc Webb is the director again with a release date set for May 2, 2014. (Source: USA Today)
Another sequel – this one set to release December 18th of this year – came out with a huge gallery. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues features Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and the rest of the “News Team.” Kristen Wiig, Harrison Ford, and more will also appear in Adam McKay’s long-awaited follow-up to the 2004 comedy. Everything I’ve seen so far has me excited to add some more quotables to the Anchorman universe. The pictures are just as hilarious, and I think the one of Brick with a trident takes the cake. Check them all out below…it is totally worth it.
George Clooney’s The Monuments Men has quite the ensemble cast and they are displayed in the six photos below. That cast includes Clooney himself and Matt Damon, Bill Murray, and John Goodman (among others). Unfortunately, the war comedy-drama doesn’t come out until February 7, 2014. (Source: Yahoo)
Spike Jonze’s (Adaptation) Her looks like a film we’re all going to need to see before Oscar time in February. Starring The Master’s Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams (along with Rooney Mara), the sci-fi romance (yes, that’s a thing) releases soon on December 18th. Check out the entire gallery below if you’re as excited as I am for this one. (Source: Collider)
The biggest photo splash probably belongs to Godzilla. The first three official images for Gareth Edwards’ (Monsters) remake came online earlier this week. All three are above and show stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) and Bryan Cranston (Argo). We’ll all be able to see the monster movie on May 16, 2014. (Source: USA Today)
In the more independent movie world, Sundance released its line-up which featured a slew of new photos. One of these two movies is Berandal, which will open in Park City this coming January. Gareth Evans returns as the director with one of the stars (Iko Uwais). After Sundance, we can probably expect to hear news about a U.S. release date. Until then, the photo is available above. A second Sundance film I wanted to champion was They Came Together. David Wain’s (Wanderlust) newest film has an interesting (but awesome) cast that includes everyone from Max Greenfield (FOX’s New Girl) to Michael Shannon (Take Shelter) with Cobie Smulders (The Avengers), Amy Poehler (NBC’s Parks and Recreation), and Paul Rudd (Anchorman) also appearing. This movie will get a more specific 2014 release date soon, too. Check out the first photo above. (Source: Collider)
